Shin Duck Kang
A Korean female Artist Shinduk Kang majored in sculpture, received her BFA and MFA degree from Hongik University, Seoul, Korea, and studied ceramic art at White Place. Studied in Boston USA from 1988 to 1989. Since her first exhibition of works in 1977, she participated in over 500 group exhibition and 34 solo exhibitions widely in Korea, China, Japan, Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain, USA, Canada, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. At the beginning of 2005, she had her 20th solo exhibition Secret Garden invited by the Gwangju Art Museum which became famous for Gwangju Biennale, a renowned international Art Biennale held in Korea. She participated in PULSE Art Fair 2010 in New York and Toronto international Art Fair 2013 in Toronto. She received Knighthoods in recognition of service to the Italian Republic, Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity. Also, she received 2013 Sovereign Asian Art Prize from Sovereign Art Foundation in Korea. At 2014, she participated selected group exhibitions like Seoul Art Fair, Cheongdam Art Fair, Korea galleries Art Fair, Singapore affordable Artfair, BAMA 2014, KIAF 2015. And last year, she had solo exhibition named Emerald Flower at Gallery Maronie, Kyoto. In Korea, she participated in KIAF 2015, BAMA 2015, Daegu Art Fair, Affordable Artfair 2015 and Korea Galleries Artfair 2016. She has been appointed as an adjunct professor in Department of art in Gunsan University and Human environment and Design in Yonsei University.
